Ram Charan’s much-anticipated film Game Changer hit theatres on 10 January, and within just five days, it surpassed the £10 million mark at the box office, marking a major achievement for the film. However, despite its commercial success, director Shankar has expressed his dissatisfaction with the final product.

In an interview with Behindwoods TV, Shankar admitted that he was not “completely satisfied” with the outcome of the film. He shared, “This is a common problem with every filmmaker. No matter what you do, you’ll never feel completely satisfied. I feel I could have done better.”

Shankar went on to reveal that the original run time of Game Changer was an impressive five hours, but due to time constraints, significant portions of the film had to be trimmed to make it more suitable for a cinematic viewing experience.

He explained, “Some good scenes and situations were removed during trimming. The total duration exceeded five hours. It’s like sculpting; if we leave it as it is, it’s just a marble.”

On the heels of the film’s success, Ram Charan penned a heartfelt note for his fans to mark the occasion of Makar Sankranti. The actor expressed his gratitude for the audience’s support, which made all the hard work behind Game Changer worthwhile.

In his note, Charan said, “This Sankranthi, my heart is filled with gratitude for making all the hard work we put into Game Changer truly worth it. My heartfelt appreciation goes to the entire cast, crew, and everyone behind the scenes who contributed to the film’s success.”

The film marks Ram Charan’s first collaboration with Kiara Advani. The ensemble supporting cast includes Samuthirakani, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Sunil, Anjali, and Suryah. As the film continues to perform well at the box office, both the lead actor and director are eagerly looking forward to its ongoing success.
