Ram Setu trailer is out and the movie promises an action packed adventure in a mission to save the revered bridge between India and Sri Lanka. “Ram Setu”, translates to the ‘bridge of Lord Ram’, a Hindu God.

As per the Hindu scripture of Ramayana, Lord Ram and his army had built a bridge of floating stones, from Dhanushkodi, which is now an abandoned town at the southern tip of India to Sri Lanka, to reach Ravana, a demon who abducted Sita, Lord Ram’s wife. This bridge in the scriptures is referred to as Ram Setu.

The trailer opens up with the Government of India seeking permission from the Supreme Court to demolish Ram Setu. Dr Aryan, played by Akshay Kumar, who working as an archaeologist is sent on a mission to prove the existence and save Ram Setu.

His team is then caught in whirl-wind of violence, with bullets being sprayed from all around. The trailer, does not give too much of an insight into how the story would turn out to be or who the real bad guys are, but it does promise an action packed watch much like any other action movie.

Written and Directed by Abhishek Sharma (Parmanu, Tere Bin Laden), the film is a fast-paced entertainer and is set to release on 25 October, along with the Diwali festivities
