A new report has claimed that Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs fears he may face the same fate as Jeffrey Epstein while being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Centre. The disgraced hip-hop mogul, currently in custody on multiple sex crime charges, is reportedly worried that his vast knowledge of high-profile secrets could make him a target behind bars.

According to RadarOnline.com, an unnamed insider alleged that Diddy “knows too much about too many movers and shakers” and could be silenced before he has the chance to testify in court. However, these claims remain unverified.

Suge Knight’s warning

Adding to the speculation, former rap mogul Suge Knight, who has long accused Diddy of being involved in Tupac Shakur’s 1996 murder, issued a stark warning about his safety.

“Somebody can do something to him and get a name for themself, they gonna actually do it,” Knight reportedly said. “Or if they can do whatever they feel they gotta do to prove themselves.”

The report also claims that Diddy’s former party circle includes powerful figures who might prefer he never testifies. “Diddy’s party pals are just as rich, and many are famous. A lot of people would be happy if he never testified,” the source alleged.

Comparisons to Jeffrey Epstein

The speculation has drawn parallels between Diddy and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who died in August 2019 at the same NYC facility under suspicious circumstances. Official reports concluded that Epstein died by suicide, though theories of foul play continue to circulate.

The tabloid report suggests that, like Epstein, Diddy is being monitored as a high-risk inmate, yet remains vulnerable. “He’s in virtually the same situation as Epstein,” the insider claimed.

Further fuelling the speculation, the source argued that if Combs cooperates with prosecutors, he could become even more of a target. “It makes sense that he’d make some type of plea deal or sing like a canary with nothing to lose. Having him taken care of in the meantime would check a lot of boxes and make the problems go away with him,” the source alleged.

Unverified claims and ongoing trial

While these claims have sparked widespread discussion online, there is no concrete evidence to suggest Diddy is in immediate danger. His legal team has not publicly addressed the speculation, and official prison authorities have not issued any statements regarding his security status.

Diddy remains in federal custody at the Metropolitan Detention Centre, with his trial set to begin on 5 May 2025.
