Ranbir Kapoor’s sister, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, responded to online speculation after fans noticed the absence of Alia Bhatt in her initial New Year’s Day Instagram post.

The Kapoor family, including Ranbir, Alia, their daughter Raha Kapoor, Soni Razdan, Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Bharat Sahni, and Samara Sahni, celebrated New Year together in Thailand.

Earlier, both Neetu and Riddhima shared carousels of photos from the celebration on Instagram. Riddhima’s post featured her husband Bharat, daughter Samara, and other family members in a group photo, where Ranbir was holding Raha. However, only a partial view of Alia was visible, sparking questions from fans. Alia was notably absent in subsequent pictures, despite Riddhima including a photo with Alia’s mother, Soni Razdan.

Captioning the pictures, Riddhima wrote, “The party’s just begun, and 2025 is ready to shine! #NewYearVibes. Happy New Year, insta Fam.”

The omission quickly caught the attention of fans. Comments included, “Why didn’t she get snapped by Alia?” and “No photo with @aliaabhatt.” Another user remarked, “Are you serious? No pic with Alia Bhatt.”

Addressing the curiosity, Riddhima shared a new selfie on Wednesday featuring herself, Alia Bhatt, and Neetu Kapoor. The trio smiled warmly for the camera, with Riddhima captioning the post, “This is us ❤️❤️❤️ #familyfirst.”

Riddhima has previously spoken highly of her relationship with Alia Bhatt. During an interview with Galatta India last year, Riddhima praised Alia, and her husband Bharat Sahni described her as “chilled out” and free from drama. Bharat shared: “I love her vibe. She is very chilled out. No politics, she doesn’t like to gossip. So, a lot of similarities.”

Riddhima has recently gained attention for her appearance on the Netflix reality series Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives Season 3. The show also stars Maheep Kapoor, Neelam Kothari, Bhavana Panday, Seema Sajdeh, Shalini Passi, and Kalyani Saha Chawla.

The Kapoor family’s New Year celebration and Riddhima’s thoughtful seems to have quelled the chatter, reinforcing the bond within Bollywood’s most beloved families.
