‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ trailer: R Madhavan turns rocket scientist in this espionage drama

The first trailer for ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ is here. This biopic is based on the life of former rocket scientist Nambi Narayanan, who was falsely charged with espionage in 1994. He was acquitted of the charge in 1998.

The trailer starts with R Madhavan, who is making his directorial debut with the project, as a modern day Narayanan. He sits in conversation with none other than Shah Rukh Khan, whose character is yet to be revealed, as he tells him to tread carefully to avoid history repeating itself.

The trailer follows Narayanan as he jumps back in time to before his accusation. The character is an ‘arrogant genius’ who wants to help the country by working on his rockets. The trailer gives us a sneak-peek at some of the very impressive structures Narayanan was working on. However, that all changes when he gets accused of transferring confidential data to foreign nations. The trailer sees the scientist imprisoned in jail for several months and on trial for many years. The film sets to be the heart-wrenching tale of the falsely accused.

‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ has been written and directed by R Madhavan. It is expected to release this summer. It also stars Bhawsheel Sahni, Arnaud Humbert, Jack Dimich and Hugo Alejo. You can check out the trailer below.
