Looks like it’s not the end of ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani”
With the immense popularity the movie received even before the release, it’s not a surprise that fans would want a sequel.
During an interview with Film Companion, director, Karan Johar was asked about the possible sequel for the film.
”Alia, Ranveer and I believe Rocky and Rani’s story is far from done and we might consider a spin-off for them”.
He also mentioned that if the second part is made, it will show the lives of the lead characters Rocky and Rani living separately and having their own space.
“I definitely think Rani would not move into Randhawa Paradise. I think that Chatterjees wouldn’t mind her moving out. I think they would move into a separate home. They both get along well enough with each other’s families to now create a world of their own. So in my head neither does Rani move to Rocky’s or Rocky move to Rani’s, they have a place of their own.
”But in my head. I think Rani would do the place up, she wouldn’t depend on Rocky’s aesthetics. But Rocky wouldn’t stop being Rocky,” he said
While it is not unnatural for a Bollywood movie to end with a wedding sequence, it is a surprise that Karan Johar would be willing to deliver a second part for this.
I for once am totally on-board for a sequence and would love to what Rocky and Rani have written in the future for them.
