Renowned Pakistani actress Sania Saeed has commented on the limited range of roles offered to younger actors in the industry, highlighting rising stars like Hania Aamir and Yumna Zaidi. Known for her versatile performances in hit dramas like Sitara Aur Mehrunissa, Sang E Mar Mar, and Aseer Zadi, Saeed is admired for her remarkable craft and ability to bring diverse characters to life. She is currently receiving praise for her role in Ae Dil on ARY Digital.

Saeed recently appeared on the 365 Entertainment podcast, where she shared her thoughts on the challenges faced by younger actors in the Pakistani entertainment industry. “For some younger actors, the choices of characters do matter,” she said, adding that it is unfortunate that many actors are often confined to similar roles.

She praised Yumna Zaidi and Sajal Aly, for consistently choosing challenging and unique roles that showcase their acting range. In contrast, Saeed mentioned Hania Aamir’s tendency to take on similar roles, particularly the innocent girl who often portrays vulnerability and cries on screen. “Hania is definitely capable of doing better,” she remarked.

Saeed highlighted Aamir’s standout performance in Sang E Mah as Gul Meena, a character that allowed her to showcase her acting depth. “The character of Gul Meena was brilliant; you could see her hard work in that particular role,” Saeed said, acknowledging Aamir’s ability to shine when given a challenging character.

The conversation sheds light on the limitations placed on younger actors in terms of role diversity but also serves as a reminder of their potential when provided with opportunities to step outside conventional roles. Saeed’s praise for Aamir and Zaidi reflects her belief in the talent of younger generations, encouraging more varied and complex roles for them in the future.
