Shapla Sports Initiative  an organisation based in Bradford, is to hold weekly cricket sessions on Saturdays. The weekly sessions on Saturdays at the BEAP CP Sports Hall is an event which is in partnership with the Yorkshire cricket foundation.

In a new drive to encourage more Asian children into cricket these sessions will be free and will be held at BEAP Community sports Hall Cornwall Road, Bradford – every Saturday from 4pm and 6pm.  Today sees the opening of the sessions which will be for boys aged eight to sixteen initially.

Each session will also feature speeches from police officers. The project where Shahidhur Rahman has been one of the main influences with his selfless work to bring the community together, will provide a cricket based education and community programmes across Yorkshire.
