The 22 National Curry Week takes place from 5 to 11 October. Curry is the nations most loved dish without a doubt.
It has not been the best year for many, but let’s use this to distract ourselves to talk all things curry instead.
To this day National Curry Week honours this vision with its three core objectives:
Honour the nation’s favourite cuisine
Celebrate and support the Indian industry
Raise money for poverty focused charities
Bradford is still the undisputed ‘Curry Capital of Britain’, having won six titles in a row, with people flocking from all over the country to taste the exquisitely rich flavours of the sub Indian continent.

National Curry Week began in 1998, the last 22 years have been fantastic as they have broken world records and toured the nation with free curry served from a double decker bus!
There are many ways you can get involved in this year’s National Curry Week.
You can host a curry night at home, with the pandemic and local restrictions you could make it interesting by hosting a virtual curry night inviting friends and family.
If that isn’t enough, then and we have an exclusive way for our readers to get involved.
Simply send in your favourite curry recipes and the most original recipe chosen by our editor, will win £50 to have a curry on us.
So come on, let’s get the curry on.
