Fresh from the success of Stree 2, Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor has shared her thoughts on waiting for the right project and being selective about the roles she chooses. Kapoor, who recently made a stylish appearance at the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, caught the attention of fans and industry insiders alike, standing out on the red carpet alongside Hollywood A-lister Andrew Garfield. Other prominent stars, such as Benedict Cumberbatch, Adam Ackland, and Jeremy Renner, were also in attendance, but it was Kapoor’s poise and beauty that truly stole the spotlight.
For the event, Shraddha Kapoor wore a regal gown by Indian designer Falguni Shane Peacock, featuring a strapless design with a deep neckline and a sheer, embellished short dupatta-style drape on one shoulder. The gown, part of the designer’s Rang Mahal couture collection, perfectly complemented the actress’s grace.
While her glamorous appearance was certainly a highlight, Kapoor also took the opportunity to discuss her future in the film industry. In an informal conversation at the festival, she revealed that she feels the best is yet to come. “I feel that there’s a lot that I want to do, different kinds of films, different kinds of characters,” she shared, reflecting on her evolving career.
Kapoor emphasised the importance of being selective when it comes to choosing projects, saying she would rather wait for the right opportunity than rush into taking on roles that don’t resonate with her. “I’m okay to not do something, or do films back to back, that I do not feel in my gut. So I’m looking to be part of films as an actor that are different for me. That’s what I’m after now,” she explained.
Her success with Stree 2 has solidified her place among Bollywood’s leading actresses. When asked for advice for young actors and directors, Shraddha advised them to focus on their craft rather than the glamour. “Don’t do it for the glamour. If you want to be an actor, glamour is 10 percent, 90 percent is hard work,” she said, highlighting the importance of dedication and skill over fame.
