Jawan, today, opened to houseful shows across India, and considerable attendance across the world. The action packed film has also received positive reviews from critics and audience alike.

Many who have watched the film, say that the SRK starrer is a combination of a much needed social commentary and a mass entertainer.

The film, which is directed by Atlee and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, was however, within hours of release, leaked online with pirated copies of the film circulating around.

A report by Indian Express states that, despite piracy websites leaking the HD version of the film within six hours of its first showing in cinema halls, the movie’s box office earnings are expected to remain largely unaffected by the leak.

As per reports the film has sold over seven lakh tickets on Day 1, in India alone.

Jawan is not the only recent Bollywood film to be affected by piracy. In the past few months, several other high-profile films have also been leaked online, including Rajinikanth’s Jailer, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2, and Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2.
