The Crown Prosecution Service today, on 15 September, given the green light to proceed with charges against three individuals, including Sara’s father, Urfan Sharif, 41, residing on Hammond Road in Woking.
Urfan’s partner, Beinash Batool, 29, of Hammond Road, and Urfan’s brother, Faisal Malik, 28, also living on Hammond Road, have all been implicated in this deeply distressing case. The charges primarily pertain to causing or allowing the death of a child.
These individuals were taken into custody on the evening of 13 September 2023, as they disembarked from a flight arriving at Gatwick Airport from Dubai.
Following their arrest, they have been held in custody and are scheduled to appear at Guildford Magistrate’s Court today
Sara’s mother has been notified about this significant development and is currently receiving support from specialised officers to navigate this emotionally challenging period.
