Bollywood’s much-awaited spy thriller War 2 is shaping up to be a spectacle like no other, bringing together Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and top-tier action choreography under Ayan Mukerji’s direction. As per Mid-Day, the film’s high-octane climax will be designed by a powerhouse team of stunt coordinators, including Hollywood’s Spiro Razatos (Venom, The Fate of the Furious), Se-yeong Oh (Avengers: Age of Ultron, Snowpiercer), and Bollywood’s Sunil Rodrigues (Jawan, Pathaan).
The action-packed finale will reportedly be shot over 15 days, beginning mid-December, across Mumbai’s Film City, Goregaon, and YRF Studios in Andheri. Sources reveal that this climactic sequence will feature a mix of intense hand-to-hand combat and cutting-edge VFX, with a massive set—believed to be Jr NTR’s villainous lair—under construction at Film City. Meanwhile, sequences at YRF Studios will focus on close-ups and visual effects.
Director Ayan Mukerji and producer Aditya Chopra are sparing no effort in ensuring that the action sequences meet international standards. The showdown between Roshan and Jr NTR is expected to be a visual spectacle, blending stylised choreography with technical innovation. In addition to Razatos, Oh, and Rodrigues, the production has reportedly enlisted 11 other stunt coordinators, including Steve Brown (Wonder Woman), Miguel Juzgado (Warrior Nun), and Franz Spilhaus, promising a thrilling experience for fans.
But War 2 isn’t all adrenaline—there’s also room for Bollywood’s quintessential masala. Fans can look forward to a much-anticipated dance-off between Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR. Adding to the excitement, a romantic sequence featuring Roshan and leading lady Kiara Advani will be filmed in January, offering a breather from the otherwise action-heavy narrative.
Set for an Independence Day 2025 release, War 2 has already sent fans into a frenzy. Speculation is rife about Jr NTR’s role, with fans debating whether he will appear as a full-fledged antagonist or in a cameo, like Salman Khan’s role in Pathaan. One fan on X stated, “NTR might appear for just a cameo, and later a separate film might happen for him in the SPY Universe.” Another countered, “He will be the main villain, bro.”
