Summer is finally here which means beach days, happy hours, al fresco lunches and endless BBQ invites. But it’s only got you thinking-what an earth do I wear?!
Here at Asian Style Magazine we have it covered. We have rounded up the best stylish yet strategic options that will finally have you RSVP’ing to those BBQ invites.
1. The Jumpsuit
You could opt for a skater dress in the breezy summer weather but with the weather being so unpredictable you might want to avoid flashing everyone your undies when a gust of wind comes your way. If you want to avoid that classic Marilyn moment then why not give jumpsuits a whirl. They are a much safer and comfortable option, and better yet they look ridiculously cool.

2. The Peplum look
Thank god for the peplum. Not only will it flatter your figure but it will beat the BBQ bloat. You needn’t shy away when it comes to chomping on another burger, the peplum has it covered. Team with skinny jeans and a statement necklace for the perfect summer look.

3. All things Print
No matter what item of clothing it is on, we love prints- whether that be shorts, playsuits, camis or trousers. Prints will instantly uplift your once before boring outfit into a chic summer statement ensemble. When you think of prints- think floral, because not only will you look bang on trend, but you can definitely disguise those saucy slip up stains on your top. Avoid white clothing at all costs.

4. Summer Jackets
Is it going to be boiling? Raining? Hurricaning? All of the above? You will never be able to rely on the Great British weather, but you can rely on an awesome new season jacket. Whether you opt for a bomber jacket, longline blazer or the classic denim jacket at least you will be ready when the weather decides to take a turn for the worst.

5. Flat shoes, flat shoes, leave on your flat shoes
BBQs are a great time for catching up with friends and family. No doubt you will be dragged into a game of footy or forced into playing some casual swingball.
With BBQs not being the ideal scenario to seat all your guests, you’ll be doing yourself a favour if you opt for flat shoes because there’s a ton of standing on your feet involved. So, why not leave the wedges and heels at home for a more soiree evening and put your best foot first in some fashion-trainers or sandals. This will keep you chic – and comfy – all night long.
