Global companies are being invited to attend a digital technology event at Yorkshire Games Festival to explore new business opportunities.
Enterprise Europe Network is organising a business-to-business matchmaking event, called “Up Your Game”, running alongside and as part of the Yorkshire Games Festival in February 2019.
The aim of this matchmaking event is to offer participants a structured way of meeting other delegates, in order to form potentially game-changing global partnerships.
Bradford will welcome local, national, and international cutting edge digital creative companies to a business ‘speed-dating’ event next month, as part of the hugely popular Yorkshire Games Festival at the National Science and Media Museum.
Organised by Bradford Council’s Enterprise Europe Network on 7 and 8 February, the two-day business matchmaking event, will help them establish valuable connections and find out how immersive technology and gamification could benefit their business in terms of efficiency, productivity, growth and profits.
Attendees will get the chance to meet with local immersive technology giants Citu, who in partnership with Leeds Beckett University have designed a zero carbon housing solution to world class standards. Computer generated images (CGIs) and detailed designs were unveiled last year and potential buyers can have a look around the development through a fully immersive VR experience before the houses have even been built.
Also, there will be the opportunity to chat with Leeds based Cooperative Innovations, who are experts in creating immersive worlds and the technology that drives them, working with a wide range of industries from gaming and entertainment to architecture, training and healthcare.
On an international note don’t miss the chance to speak to Mirror 3D Lab from Cyprus who are specialists in 3D scanning, modelling, printing and creators of true 3D copies of yourself or a loved one!
Also attending will be Divine Robot from Sweden who started life within the gaming industry and have expanded into corporate VR development and simulation using technology for business strategy and brand development for a number of industries.
Local companies will also have the chance to speak to officers from business support agencies such as Leeds and Sheffield City Region Local Enterprise Partnership and the Department for International Trade, who will explain available funding opportunities and help explore ways to integrate and develop new technology and innovations both locally and internationally.
To take part in the international matchmaking event, interested companies will need to purchase a low-cost Games Pass from the Yorkshire Games Festival, which also gives them access to the Festival’s full programme of events. The last day to register is 30 January 2019.
“Up Your Game” will offer a unique local opportunity to meet with UK and international companies in sectors as diverse as digital, animation, games, motion graphics, special effects, augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) sectors, alongside a whole host of industries looking to learn about new technology and form potentially game-changing global collaborations.
Last day to register is Wednesday 30th January 2019. Find out more and register at https://upyourgame.b2match.io
