As 2023 has several fresh entrants most of them being star kids the year will be dominated by them. The year rolled with Aasman Baradwaj son of Vishal Baradwaj’s debut film ‘Kuttey’ and now with the fresh trailer of ‘Faraaz’ we will see Shashi Kapoor’s grandson Zahan Kapoor and Paresh Rawal’s son Aditya Rawal in the film.
Zahan Kapoor is the son of actor Kunal Kapoor and grandson of legendary star Shashi Kapoor. Taking forward the legacy of Kapoor Khandaan, Zahaan Kapoor looks striking in the 2-minute trailer of ‘Faraaz’.
A lot is at stake when a star kid makes their appearance or make their foray into films.
Given Zahan Kapoor’s knowledge of their ancestry, the actor continues their family legacy by working in theatre. The fresh kid on the block has several times performed at Prithvi Theatre. The Prithvi Theatre was created by Shashi Kapoor and Zahan’s grandmother Jennifer Kapoor in honour of the actor’s great-grandfather Prithviraj Kapoor.
The young actor has already got thumbs up for his performance in the trailer of Faraaz. The trailer opens with people enjoying a quiet meal in the evening when several terrorists burst in and shoot people randomly. Actor Paresh Rawal’s son Aditya Rawal is seen as one of the terrorists in the trailer.
While the Bangladesh Police plans to save the hostages Aditya’s, Aditya’s character tells Zahaan, “Faraaz Hussain, Bangladesh ka Shehzada (Bangladesh’s prince)?” Faraaz was a 20-year-old who was murdered in the 2016 attack. He was the grandson of Latifur Rahman.
Only time will tell if Zahan is of the calibre and lives up to the hype, but for the time being, the actor is basking in the limelight.
