2025 has kicked off with an exciting announcement from Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, which has delighted horror-comedy fans with news of eight upcoming films set in its expanding cinematic universe. The announcement includes some highly anticipated sequels, such as Stree 3 starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, and Bhediya 2, featuring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. Alongside these fan favourites, the universe will introduce new titles such as Shakti Shalini and Chamunda, which will contribute to an epic multiverse showdown in Doosara Mahayudh.
Stree 3, the third instalment of the beloved Stree franchise, is slated for release on 13 August, 2027, much to the excitement of fans who have been eagerly awaiting its next chapter. Along with Stree 3, Maddock Films has also revealed the release dates for several other films in their horror-comedy lineup. These include Thama, set for Diwali 2025, Shakti Shalini on 31 December, 2025, Bhediya 2 on 14 August, 2026, Chamunda on 4 December, 2026, Maha Munjya on 24 December, 2027, Pehla Mahayudh on 11 August, 2028, and Doosara Mahayudh on 18 October, 2028.
