Saif Ali Khan is gearing up to pull off the ultimate heist, and this time, he’s bringing the action straight to your screens. The highly anticipated thriller Jewel Thief – The Heist Begins is set to premiere on Netflix on 27 March, marking Saif’s return to the world of slick action dramas.
Teaming up with Siddharth Anand once again, the film promises a high-stakes adventure packed with deception, betrayal, and edge-of-the-seat action.
The first teaser, unveiled during the Next on Netflix event, has already left fans wanting more. In just over a minute, it gives a tantalising glimpse into the high-octane world of the African Red Sun – the world’s most elusive diamond – and the dangerous game of cat and mouse that unfolds around it.
Saif steps into the shoes of a master thief, donning multiple disguises as he joins forces with Jaideep Ahlawat for the daring heist. The teaser also hints at intriguing characters played by Kunal Kapoor and Nikita Dutta, along with adrenaline-pumping action sequences, dazzling dance numbers, and a pulsating background score.
Described as a “deadly game of deception and betrayal”, the film follows a jewel thief hired by a powerful crime lord to steal the coveted diamond, but with shifting alliances and chaos at every turn, no one can be trusted.
Produced by Siddharth Anand, who makes his streaming debut with this project, the film is directed by Kookie Gulati and Robbie Grewal. Sharing their excitement, Siddharth and Mamta Anand called the project a “labour of love” designed to push creative boundaries and keep audiences hooked from start to finish.
