Ben Affleck was spotted driving back to his $20.5 million (approximately £16,605,000) bachelor pad in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles, after being forced to evacuate due to the devastating wildfire that has been ravaging the city. The Oscar-winning actor had only purchased the mansion in July 2024, amid his ongoing marital challenges with Jennifer Lopez.

Reports earlier indicated that Affleck sought refuge at his ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s home in Brentwood during the crisis. However, a source confirmed to Page Six that he returned to his property after the fire appeared to have settled, expressing his gratitude that his mansion had withstood the blaze. “Ben’s home is still under evacuation order, but he feels so grateful his property is safe for the time being,” the source shared.

Photographs from the outlet show a serious-faced Affleck arriving at his Pacific Palisades mansion in a black sedan, entering the access code to his property. The star’s home, which features five bedrooms and six bathrooms, was spared amidst widespread destruction in the surrounding neighbourhoods. Notably, the property also includes horse stables.

In the face of this disaster, the Air director has been reaching out to those in need, knowing many people who lost their homes in the wildfires. The Accountant star’s compassion comes as other celebrity homes were also fortunate enough to survive, including those of Kate Hudson, Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg, Chris Pratt, Rebel Wilson, Dan Aykroyd, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Tom Brady, who all reportedly saw their estates remain unscathed.

However, not all stars were as lucky. Celebrities such as Leighton Meester and Adam Brody, Anna Faris, Billy Crystal, Eugene Levy, John Goodman, Paris Hilton, and The Hills alums Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag weren’t as fortunate, with their properties succumbing to the wildfires.
