The legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni is escalating, with the actress now seeking phone records that could provide evidence of an alleged smear campaign against her.

According to Variety, Lively’s legal team has filed requests with AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile to obtain records linked to Baldoni, producer Jamey Heath, and billionaire Steve Sarowitz, co-founder of Wayfarer Studios. They are also tracking the phone records of Baldoni’s publicists, Jennifer Abel and Melissa Nathan, whose messages reportedly contain discussions about trying to “bury” and “destroy” Lively.

The allegations

Lively has accused Baldoni, his PR team, and other associates of orchestrating an online attack against her after she spoke out about alleged sexual harassment on the set of It Ends With Us.

A spokesperson for Lively stated:
“Phone records belonging to all of the individual defendants will expose the full web of individuals involved in the smear campaign against Blake Lively. Such records will provide critical and irrefutable evidence not only about who, but also about when, where, and how their retaliation plan came together and operated.”

Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, dismissed the request, arguing that Lively’s team is grasping at straws.
“This massive fishing expedition demonstrates that they are desperately seeking any factual basis for their probably false claims. They will find none,” Freedman said.

Further investigations

Lively’s lawyers have also issued subpoenas to internet providers Cloudflare and AOL, as well as crisis consultant Jed Wallace, who has been accused of launching a digital army against her. Wallace, however, has denied any involvement and has countersued Lively for defamation.

As the legal battle rages on, one thing is clear—this drama isn’t ending anytime soon.
