As an enthusiastic advocate for Dementia UK, he has organised numerous events and fundraisers, raising an impressive £240,000 for the charity and other local causes. One of his most iconic initiatives is “Samosa Saturday,” where he distributes delicious samosas in exchange for donations before Wolverhampton Wanderers (Wolves) football games. Manny’s family plays an integral role in this endeavour, as they lovingly prepare the mouth-watering samosas, while an army of dedicated volunteers assists on the event day.
He has participated in multiple physical challenges to raise funds and awareness. Manny has completed the gruelling London Marathon three times, showcasing his determination to make a difference. In another inspiring feat, he embarked on a 120-mile walk from Molineux to Anfield to support his beloved Wolves FC as they faced Chelsea.
Additionally, he cycled the distance from Molineux to Anfield, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to both his favourite football club and his charitable endeavours.
Manny said: “It’s a complete surprise to be awarded like this. Being human is already a huge privilege and it’s hugely humbling to be recognised for trying to use the messages of my faith. It will hopefully inspire others too, to make volunteering and helping others part of their everyday life.”
