Skai Jackson has welcomed her first child, sharing the joyous news with her followers on Instagram. The 22-year-old Disney Channel alum posted a sweet photo on Sunday, featuring her holding the newborn, who wore a green-and-black plaid onesie with matching socks. While the post did not reveal the baby’s gender, Jackson’s caption hinted that the little one’s name is Kasai.
Jackson had previously confirmed her pregnancy to People magazine in November, announcing she was expecting a baby with her boyfriend, whose identity remains private. “I’m thrilled to begin this new chapter in my life − embracing motherhood and diving into new acting projects,” she shared. “My heart is so full!”
Skai Jackson rose to fame through her role as Zuri Ross on Disney Channel’s Jessie, which aired from 2011 to 2015. She later reprised her character on the spinoff series Bunk’d and made appearances on other Disney shows, including Austin & Ally, Good Luck Charlie, and K.C. Undercover. In 2020, she competed on the 29th season of Dancing With the Stars. Her most recent role was in the thriller The Man in the White Van.
Earlier on Sunday, Jackson shared a TikTok video showing her packing her hospital bag, eagerly preparing for her delivery. “It’s big and filled up, and I’ll see you guys when I have my baby,” she said in the clip.
The actress received an outpouring of support from fans and famous friends alike, with Keke Palmer, also a former child star, sending heart-eyed emojis in reaction to the heart warming news.
