Thanks to the pandemic, nearly every release in the UK has been hugely delayed. One of the many big releases that was due out earlier this year was ‘Godzilla Vs Kong’, which is set to release in America on 31 March. Fortunately, however, the film will now be releasing digitally in the UK from April 1.
Warner Bros confirmed the news that the latest in their series of re-imagined monster movies will be available in the UK earlier today. This is not the first film over the past twelve months that has seen such a release, and ‘Godzilla Vs Kong’ will be following in the footsteps of ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ to head straight to digital.
The film will mark the first interaction between Godzilla and Kong, and is will see the two giant monsters come against one another in an almighty frenzied battle. Many remain hopeful that the film will still see a cinematic release once the lockdown is over, as the extreme fight scenes were certainly intended for the big screen. The film has been directed by Adam Wingard and will star Alexander Skarsgard, Millie Bobby Brown and Rebecca Hall.
