Pakistani actress Hania Aamir has opened up about the reasons behind her sudden departure from a recent meet-and-greet event in Dallas, Texas. In a detailed Instagram post, the A-list star explained that the incident stemmed from an altercation involving one of the event organisers and her manager, Maida Azmat.

Hania recounted the chaotic scene, saying, “Everyone saw videos of me walking to the crowd and taking pictures, and everything was fine. But when I was heading back to my seat, I heard one of the organisers verbally abusing my manager.” She described how tensions quickly escalated when the organiser’s aggression led to security needing to intervene.

Taking a stand against the verbal abuse, Hania approached the organiser and confronted him. “I walked up to her and asked what had happened and told the man (one of the organisers) that he cannot speak to her like that,” she recalled. Despite trying to move forward with the planned photo sessions with fans, the situation worsened. The organiser reportedly pursued them, continuing to hurl insults and ordering security protocols to be called off. “He came running after us, calling us names, telling us to get out, called off the security protocols, and verbally assaulted us even more,” Hania added.

Expressing her disappointment, Hania emphasised the importance of respect in professional environments, regardless of anyone’s position or status. She added, “Firstly, whatever your position may be, big or small, it gives you no right to disrespect anyone.” Hania further stressed that women, especially in male-dominated industries, should never be expected to tolerate disrespect, stating, “Just because us women are in male-dominated fields, gives you no right to assume that you can get away with almost anything and that we will not take a stand for ourselves.”

Hania also criticised the media for misreporting the incident, stating, “I understand it’s a juicy story that a female artist left a show or misbehaved. But it would be really nice if media houses show some responsibility with their journalism and stop putting allegations on us.”

In response to the incident, several fellow actors and industry professionals, including Yashma Gill, Maya Ali, and Nabeel Qureshi, showed their support for Hania by resharing her Instagram story and condemning the organiser’s behaviour.

Hania concluded her post by apologising to the fans who had attended the event, expressing regret that the situation had to unfold in such a way, and thanking her supporters for their understanding.
