Kamal Haasan unveils first look of Thug Life as he celebrates career milestone

Celebrating his milestone birthday, Kamal Haasan gave fans an exciting glimpse into his next big project, Thug Life, directed by Mani Ratnam. The actor shared a striking red-hued poster on Instagram, revealing his rugged look, complete with long hair and a beard. Alongside Haasan in the poster is Silambarasan, who joins him in this highly anticipated film. The caption read, “Every role is an evolution, every film a journey,” setting the tone for what promises to be an intense cinematic experience.

 

In Thug Life, Haasan takes on the role of Rangraya Sakthivel Nayakar, a character defined by his raw resilience and seasoned wisdom, capturing the essence of underworld survival and grit. This film marks a milestone in Kamal Haasan’s career, as he reaches a remarkable 234 roles over his cinematic journey, showcasing his ability to continuously evolve as an actor. The movie also features Trisha, who, alongside Haasan and Silambarasan, brings additional depth to the cast. According to the teaser, Haasan’s character brings a unique blend of intensity and elegance, as he confronts a world filled with danger and power struggles.

 

Director Mani Ratnam and Haasan previously collaborated on Nayakan and more recently on the Ponniyin Selvan films, making this new project a reunion of two cinematic powerhouses. The film will also feature music by A.R. Rahman, further heightening fans’ expectations for a memorable soundtrack.

 

Produced by Kamal Haasan’s Raj Kamal Films International in collaboration with Mani Ratnam, R. Mehendran, and Siva Ananth, Thug Life stars a stellar ensemble including Trisha, Abhirami, and Nasser.
