Bollywood’s fiery star and politician Kangana Ranaut has officially wrapped up shooting for her upcoming thriller, which reunites her with R Madhavan nearly a decade after their blockbuster hit, Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015).
Directed by A.L. Vijay, the film promises an edge-of-the-seat experience and is expected to be a pan-India release
Kangana took to Instagram to share the exciting update, posting a celebratory picture with the film’s crew. Dressed in a pink saree with a golden border, a white robe draped over her shoulders, and sporting a red bindi with sindoor, she struck a victory pose alongside director A.L. Vijay and the rest of the team.
“Today wrapped filming of my upcoming thriller with some of my fabs #alvijay @actormaddy @tridentartsoffl. See you in the cinemas,” Kangana captioned the post.
R Madhavan, equally thrilled, re-shared the update with a heartfelt message:
“Congratulations.. so much fun shooting this one once too.. lovely unit and adorable team .. rock it as usual @kanganaranaut.”
The yet-untitled thriller was announced in 2023 and has been shrouded in mystery, making fans even more eager for its release
Meanwhile, Kangana was recently seen in Emergency, released on 17 January 2025. The film, which she also directed, delves into one of the most controversial and transformative periods in Indian political history-the Emergency declared by Indira Gandhi from 1975 to 1977.
With the thriller wrapped and Emergency behind her, Kangana is gearing up for another power-packed year on the big screen. Stay tuned for more updates on this much-anticipated reunion with Madhavan!
