Filmmaker Karan Johar has sparked curiosity online with a cryptic new promo featuring Malaika Arora. In the teaser, the duo can be seen speaking over the phone, punctuated by the mysterious refrain: “Kaching Kaching.”
Without revealing too much, Johar teased fans, saying: “Wanna know what the Kaching is all about? Stay tuned.” He added in the caption: “Kaching! It’s not a sound, it’s a takeover. #KachingKaching #BigIdeasBigMoney #WhenFashionMeetsMoney.”
The playful banter and golden phrase have sent social media speculation into overdrive, with fans wondering whether this hints at a disruptive new collaboration, a fashion-meets-entertainment venture, or something entirely unexpected.
“This teaser sets the tone for something exciting on the horizon, without giving away much,” the press release noted.
The announcement comes on the heels of Johar’s recent National Award win for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, which received the award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment at the 71st National Film Awards. Starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, the 2023 romantic drama also featured veteran actors Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi, alongside Tota Roy Chowdhury, Churni Ganguly, Aamir Bashir, and Kshitee Jog.
Earlier in August, Johar expressed his gratitude for the accolade, saying: “I am ecstatic and overwhelmed to win the national award for a film exceptionally close to my heart… Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
