Meghan Markle is stepping back into the podcasting world-but not without stirring up a fresh round of controversy.

After launching her lifestyle brand As Ever and starring in the Netflix docuseries With Love, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex has announced her latest venture: a podcast titled “Confessions of a Female Founder”, debuting on 8 April.

Taking to Instagram, Meghan shared her excitement about the new project, created in collaboration with Lemonada Media, writing:
“I’ve been having candid conversations with amazing women who have turned dreams into realities… It’s been eye-opening, inspiring-and fun!”

The show promises to explore the journeys of female entrepreneurs, offering insights into the triumphs, challenges, and realities of building successful businesses, a theme Meghan is personally familiar with as she continues to expand her own brand.

While many fans celebrated the news, with one gushing, “2025 belongs to the Duchess,” others were quick to accuse Meghan of lacking originality.

Royal watchers pointed out similarities between Meghan’s podcast and two existing shows-Confessions of a CEO (which last aired in 2023) and Confessions of a Founder, both of which focus on female entrepreneurship. One critic on X (formerly Twitter) wrote:
“That didn’t take long to figure out where Meghan Markle STOLE the idea… Shame on her for always stealing ideas from women.”

However, Meghan’s supporters were quick to defend her, arguing that similar concepts in a crowded podcast space are purely coincidental. “Our Meghan that we know and love is definitely back, and I love this for her,” one fan wrote, brushing aside the backlash.

This new podcast comes two years after Meghan and Prince Harry’s $20 million Spotify deal ended abruptly in 2023. Despite the criticism, Meghan appears undeterred, continuing to build her brand and carve out a new chapter under the spotlight.

Will Meghan’s latest venture prove the doubters wrong-or add more fuel to the fire? Listeners will find out when the first episode drops this April.
