However, Shah Rukh’s fans can heave a sigh of relief as the advance booking at single screens has been impressive.
One of the famous single screen theatres Gaiety Galaxy in Mumbai will open the Pathaan screening with the 9.00 am show on the January 25. To everyone’s surprise, the movie has already eclipsed the record-breaking reservations, with more than 900 tickets secured.
Shah Rukh’s loyal supporters will defend him as they always have, despite any attempts to tar the movie with controversy. To be fair, action films have historically been a huge let-down, but given the industry’s current state, we desperately need a hit to survive. We hope Shah Rukh becomes the messiah to save the industry’s sinking ship.
If single screen has opened up to such impressive booking we assume even the multiplex will match up to this.
In the film, Shah Rukh will be seen playing the role of an officer who comes into the picture to stop John from executing his dangerous plan against the country. Pathaan is slated to release on January 25. The film will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.
