Get ready for a dose of nostalgia, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol fans! The trailer for the upcoming film “Mr and Mrs Mahi,” starring Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor, features a recreation of the iconic verse “Dekha Tenu Pehli Pehli Baar Ve” from the song “Shava Shava” in “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.”
The trailer, unveiled on Sunday, has captivated audiences with its cricket-themed romance. But beyond the intriguing plot, one detail has everyone buzzing: the “Dekhha Tenu” song, which incorporates the beloved verse. It’s a clear throwback to the early 2000s Bollywood musical era.
Social media is already abuzz with excitement. Fans are commenting things like “Can’t wait for the whole song” and “Haye Dekha Tenu is iconic.”
“Mr and Mrs Mahi” is directed by Sharan Sharma, known for his directorial debut “Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl.” This marks the second collaboration between both Janhvi and Sharan, as well as Janhvi and Rajkummar (who previously starred together in “Roohi”).
The film is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and hits theaters on May 31st.
In the meantime, Rajkummar also has the biopic “Srikanth” releasing on May 10th, which tells the inspiring story of industrialist Srikanth Bholla.
