Actress Ricki Lake, 56, has shared a startling revelation that a psychic foresaw the devastating Los Angeles wildfires during a Netflix show appearance just months before the disaster. Lake, who tragically lost her family home in Malibu to the fires, described the property as her “heaven on earth.”
Writing about the loss, she said, “Ross and I lost our dream home. This description ‘dream home’ doesn’t suffice. It was our heaven on earth, the place where we planned to grow old together.” She added, “We never took our heavenly spot on the bluff overlooking our beloved Malibu for granted, not even for one second.”
Lake revealed that during an 15 October, 2024, appearance on Live from the Other Side with Tyler Henry, the psychic made an unsettling prediction. Henry told the couple, “We’re gonna end up finding there’s a story where there was a house fire or something along those lines — a fire risk.” He added cryptically, “There’s something about watching water seepage into places it shouldn’t and damaging things.”
The wildfires, which ignited on 7 January, have forced over 100,000 residents to evacuate and have claimed at least 24 lives. Authorities have confirmed that fierce winds, which initially fuelled the flames, are expected to return this week, further exacerbating the crisis.
Lake expressed her grief for all those affected by the catastrophe, writing, “I grieve along with all of those suffering during this apocalyptic event.”
In a grim twist, the Los Angeles Police Department last week arrested a man on suspicion of arson after he was allegedly seen attempting to start a fire. The incident is currently under investigation.
