Bollywood fans may soon witness the much anticipated reunion of Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar, two stars who have previously shared the screen in popular films such as Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Yeh Dillagi, and Aarzoo. According to reports, the duo is set to collaborate once again for acclaimed filmmaker Priyadarshan’s upcoming project titled Haiwaan.
If sources are to be believed, both actors have come on board for the new venture, with shooting expected to commence in August. The makers are reportedly aiming for a grand release in 2026. Should this come to completion, it would mark the first time the two actors have appeared together since the 2008 film Tashan, directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. Tashan also starred Saif’s wife, actor Kareena Kapoor Khan, in a pivotal role.
While excitement is building, an official announcement regarding Haiwaan is still awaited.
In the meantime, Akshay Kumar is enjoying the success of his latest film Housefull 5. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the film has reportedly amassed Rs 300 crore at the global box office and Rs 200 crore net at the domestic box office within just 25 days of its release on 6 June 2025. The star-studded comedy also features Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Fardeen Khan, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Ranjeet, Johny Lever, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Chunky Panday, Dino Morea, Sonam Bajwa, and Soundarya Sharma. Notably, Housefull 5 boasts multiple endings, adding to its appeal.
Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan was recently seen in Netflix’s thriller Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins, sharing the screen with Jaideep Ahlawat, Kunal Kapoor, and Nikita Dutta in key roles.
With both actors actively engaging audiences through diverse projects, their potential reunion in Haiwaan is already generating considerable buzz among fans eager to see the two stars light up the big screen together once more.
