Some of Bollywood’s biggest stars are set to light up the UK this May, as The Bollywood Big One brings a dazzling lineup of silver screen royalty and new-gen icons to the stage.
Taking place at Co-op Live Manchester on 4 May – the city’s first Bollywood superstar concert in 25 years – and OVO Arena Wembley on 5 May, the show promises a rare convergence of generations of Bollywood stardom.
One of the most exciting highlights is the on-stage reunion of Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit – their first appearance together since their last film Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam in 2002. Despite only starring in four films together, the duo remains one of Bollywood’s most beloved on-screen pairings, with their chemistry in Hum Aapke Hain Koun…! still regarded as one of the most iconic in Hindi cinema.
Joining them are Varun Dhawan, Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon, Sara Ali Khan, and Disha Patani – making this lineup something of a casting coup that spans generations of Bollywood stars. With comedians Manish Paul and Sunil Grover on hosting duties, the show is set to blend nostalgia with contemporary glamour.
For Manchester, the concert marks a significant cultural moment – a Bollywood extravaganza of this scale hasn’t taken place in the city since the late ’90s. Meanwhile, for Wembley, the show will be the first Bollywood superstar concert at the venue in 20 years, following its major refurbishment.
The event is being helmed by Farhath Hussain, a pioneer of Bollywood live shows who has been bringing Indian stars to global stages for the past four decades.
With further surprise artist announcements promised, The Bollywood Big One is shaping up to be a landmark moment for Bollywood fans across generations.
Pre-sale tickets go live on 11 March, with general sale from 13 March via Ticketmaster and AXS.
