In a moment that took everyone by surprise and left smiles all around, superstar Shah Rukh Khan paid a surprise visit to the sets of Sitaare Zameen Par, just one day ahead of the film’s much-anticipated release on 20 June 2025.
The film, advertised as a spiritual successor to the 2007 classic Taare Zameen Par, already has audiences emotionally invested with its moving trailer and soul-stirring music. But this unexpected behind-the-scenes glimpse has added a new layer of excitement and warmth to the journey leading up to its premiere.
Khan’s unannounced arrival created an electrifying and wholesome moment on set. Aamir Khan, who headlines the film, welcomed him with a warm embrace, while the ten young stars of the film couldn’t contain their excitement. From striking SRK’s signature pose to reciting his iconic dialogues, the children made the most of the memorable interaction. The heart-melting visit ended with a joyous group photo, capturing a beautiful crossover of Bollywood generations.

Sitaare Zameen Par stars Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh in lead roles, alongside a cast of ten talented newcomers: Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar. The film is directed by R.S. Prasanna, known for his sensitive storytelling in Shubh Mangal Saavdhan.
The screenplay is penned by Divy Nidhi Sharma, with music composed by the acclaimed trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The film is produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit, with B. Shrinivas Rao and Ravi Bhagchandka also on board as producers.
Released under Aamir Khan Productions, Sitaare Zameen Par is all set to hit the cinemas internationally from 20 June 2025, distributed by AA Films.
