Fresh from his Oscars debut, actor Taha Shah Badussha made a stylish appearance at the Silver Jubilee edition of the IIFA Awards in Jaipur. Best known for his role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s highly anticipated television series Heeramandi, Taha joined a star-studded audience for the prestigious event.

Following Saturday’s digital awards, the film awards ceremony took place on Sunday, 9 March, where Taha shared his excitement with fans online, sending a warm “Khamma Ghani”-a traditional Rajasthani greeting-across his social media.

Taha turned heads in a black ensemble with gold floral embroidery, designed by Manish Malhotra, paired with sunglasses that added a touch of mystery. The sleek look drew comparisons to James Bond, a role the actor has openly expressed a desire to play.

The actor’s career has been on a steady rise. In a recent interview, he reflected on his journey in the industry, admitting, “I always felt like a loser before… but for the first time in my life, I’ve said that I belong here. This is my calling, my purpose.”

Taha also spoke about the experience of working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, known for his lavish sets and demanding vision. “When you see these magnificent sets, you understand how SLB brings out a unique kind of acting from his performers,” he remarked.

Before Heeramandi, Taha appeared in films such as Barkhaa (2015), Baar Baar Dekho (2016), Ranchi Diaries (2017), and Gippi (2013). He has also signed a three-film deal with Ramesh Sippy Entertainment, hinting at an even busier schedule ahead.
