Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has excited fans with a first look at her upcoming thriller, Jigra. The film delves into the unbreakable bond between siblings, focusing on how far a sister will go to protect her brother, showcasing themes of survival, protection, and familial love.
Co-written by Debashish Irengbam and Vasan Bala, Jigra stars Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina. Following the success of her Netflix dark comedy Darlings, Alia returns not only as the lead actress but also as the producer for this highly anticipated film.
The teaser opens with a sombre Alia, reflecting on her brother being the only person she has left in the world, as he races against time. With the nostalgic “Phoolon Ka Taaron” song playing in the background, we see glimpses of a battered and bloodied Alia fighting against all odds to save her brother, Vedang Raina, who is imprisoned in a foreign land.
The teaser shifts between touching moments of sibling love and heart-pounding action sequences, including Alia’s character bursting through prison walls, dodging bullets, and driving through explosions—all in her desperate mission to reunite with her brother. The film also stars Manoj Pahwa and Rahul Ravindran, who aid her on this intense journey.
