Varun Dhawan is turning up the heat this Holi! On Friday, the Bollywood star shared a playful behind-the-scenes video from the sets of his upcoming film, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari (SSKTK), promising fans a colourful new Holi anthem.
In a lively reel posted on Instagram, Varun and co-star Maniesh Paul-both drenched in vibrant colours are seen letting loose in Varun’s vanity van after wrapping up the festive track.
Maniesh, mid-rant and covered in gulaal, jokes, “What have you done, VD? Look at him,” before turning the camera on Varun, who is shirtless and covered in Holi hues, can’t resist breaking into a dance.
“VD house party… This is how we’ve been shooting for this song. Bahut rang lag gaya hai,(we are covered in a lot of colour)” Varun quips, flashing his trademark energy.
Sharing his excitement, Varun captioned the video:
“Happy Holi… Wishing you straight from the sets of #SunnySanskariKiTulsiKumari. Can’t wait for you to hear our new Holi song… sooon!”
Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the upcoming romantic drama reunites Varun Dhawan with Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles, alongside a star-studded ensemble featuring Akshay Oberoi, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Abhinav Sharma, Maniesh Paul, and Manini Chadha. The film is jointly produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Shashank Khaitan.
The Holi tease isn’t the only celebration on Varun’s mind. He recently marked eight years of his hit rom-com Badrinath Ki Dulhania, calling it an “amazing film.” Released in 2017, the movie produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, paired him with Alia Bhatt and became a massive box-office success.
